14 DAY TRIAL // Screenshots of Windows 10 build 10537 are already available, but thanks to Russian leaker WZor, we now have the official build documentation Microsoft has sent to partners together with this new version.
According to these release notes, build 10537 comes with three breaking changes, namely Start menu improvements, updated color options, and new context menus.
First and foremost, Microsoft has spent more time improving the Start menu performance and build 10537 is one of the first to bring significant enhancements in this regard. “Open the Start menu, go to the all apps view, and click the group header letter to quickly jump through the all apps list.”
This feature was already available in Windows 10, but Microsoft says that everything should be faster after updating to build 10537.
More personalization options
At the same time, build 10537 also includes updated color options, which should help users better customize the Windows 10 UI.
“The Start, Action Center, Taskbar, and title bars can now have color changes applied to reflect the user’s preference. Simply navigate to Settings > Personalization > Colors and turn on the Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center option to put color in those bars,” Redmond says.
And last but not least, Microsoft has refined the look of the new context menus, trying to make the operating system look fresh when right-clicking the desktop too. This feature was already available in the previous build, but it appears that the company is now more focused on improving the look of the context menus.
As we’ve said, there’s no proof that this is the next build to be released to insiders, but an ISO is expected to get leaked soon, so you can give it a try when it becomes available. As far as the next official release is concerned, expect one to take place sometime in the next couple of weeks, as Microsoft seems to be a little bit more focused on the mobile version these days.
