On July 13, the Manjaro Linux development team, through Philip Müller, had the great pleasure of announcing the immediate availability of the fourth update for the stable Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 distribution.

Manjaro Update 2015-07-13 (stable) is here to bring updates to some of the most important core components and applications, but also to improve the overall performance of the Linux kernel-based operating system, as well as to patch some of the issues reported by users in the last month.

With today's update, users of the Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 distro will get the latest AMD Catalyst 15.20.1046 video drivers, the Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.481 plugin, the Mozilla Thunderbird 38.1 email and news client, the latest KDE Plasma 5.12 desktop environment, and all the regular updates from the upstream Arch Linux repositories as of July 13, 2015.

Additionally, the new Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 update adds various patches to the Calamares 1.1.1 installer, some new features to the Octopi 0.7.0 package manager, and Linux kernels 4.1.2 LTS, 4.0.8, 3.19.8.3, 3.18.18 LTS, 3.16.7.14, 3.14.48 LTS, 3.13.11.22, 3.12.44, and 3.10.84 LTS.

"It is always good to check for updated packages, even we don’t notify you about them. As usual people using our testing branch will help us to get snaps over to our stable branch almost smoothly," says Philip Müller on behalf of the Manjaro Linux development team. "Please give us feedback and report any findings with this update."

manjaro-tools has been updated to version 0.9.11

In addition to the new changes mentioned above, the new Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 update brings the manjaro-tools package to version 0.9.11, a release that includes updated profile structures, updated manjaro-chroot help, basic LVM support, as well as support for non-Manjaro branding.

Furthermore, manjaro-tools 0.9.11 fixes mount issues and ownership of files generated by the buildiso utility, and adds extra tags to the OpenRC installation mediums. All users of the Manjaro Linux 0.8.13 distribution are urged to update as soon as possible.
