Apple will surely launch a new series of tablets this spring, but the moment chosen by the Cupertino-based company for the unveiling of the new products hasn't been disclosed yet.

Rumor has it that Apple will announce four new iPads in early April at an event that will not be held at 1 Infinite Loop. Apple World Today reports an unannounced Apple event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 4.

During the event, Apple is expected to announce a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, a 10.5-inch iPad Pro, a revised 9.7-inch model to replace the iPad Air 2, and an updated 7.9-inch iPad mini. Some of these tablets might not make it to the market in early April, but they will eventually be introduced later this year.

The rumor is based on the fact that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro shows an April 4 availability for any color, storage size, or connectivity type. In addition, many carriers in the United States offer up to $150 discounts on most iPad models, but the promotional offers are all ending on April 1, presumably three days ahead of the event.

Apple Park is opening its doors in April too

Regarding the place where these iPads will be revealed, we already know that Apple plans to open its new HQ's doors sometime in April, so it makes sense to introduce the new iPads at Apple Park.

Besides, Apple's Tim Cook already confirmed during the last launch event held at 1 Infinite Loop that it was the last one held at the current Apple headquarters.

Apple was initially expected to reveal its new iPad lineup in March, but we're still waiting for the company's confirmation. If the new report proves to be true, the previous rumors suggesting a March release for the new iPads might have been false.

Either way, Apple is likely to launch a couple of new tablets in the coming weeks, so if you plan to buy an iPad, you might want to wait for the announcement.
