HTC already teased the new Edge Sense feature of its upcoming HTC U 11 flagship and the latest video highlights the smartphone’s design. HTC states that the unannounced U 11 will have a fluid and reflective look, while the video gives us a glimpse of the new flagship.

The video reveals the HTC U 11 in the blue color option, but the phone will be made available in a number of hues, including white, red and silver. Sadly, the video doesn’t reveal the front panel of the new phone, just some details from the back side.

The phone’s back panel appears to be slightly curved at the sides, while the HTC branding is clearly visible in the video. Rumors say that the smartphone could be made out of metal and glass, but the latest teaser doesn’t provide definitive proof of that, and we’re inclined to believe that the design rather shows a metal back panel.

High-end smartphone with Edge Sense squeeze feature

The retail box art has recently leaked, revealing details about the upcoming HTC U 11, including the fact that it will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display and an impressive RAM capacity of 6GB. Inside, the device will run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor and a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 will fuel the new flagship.

Moving on, a 12MP snapper with Ultra Pixel 3 and UltraSpeed AF features will be placed on the back, while the selfie snapper will have a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a panorama feature. HTC’s upcoming U 11 seems to check all the boxes, considering that IP57 certification is expected on the new phone, together with BoomSound audio and Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

But HTC will market the U 11 as a premium smartphone with an Edge Sense feature that allows users to simply squeeze the device and perform various actions, making it easier to launch apps or answer calls with one hand.
