Ben Williams from the Fedora Respins-SIG project, an initiative to produce regular Live ISO snapshots of the current stable Fedora Linux release, announced the availability of a new set of updated Fedora 25 ISOs.

Tagged as build F25-20170418, the new Fedora 25 Live ISO images are powered by the Linux 4.10.10 kernel and include all the latest updates released through the official Fedora repositories until April 18, 2017. As usual, they are here to save you a lot of bandwidth when reinstalling Fedora or deploying the operating system on a new computer.

"With F25 we are now using Livemedia-creator to build the updated lives. To build your own please look at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Livemedia-creator-_How_to_create_and_use_a_Live_CD," said Ben Williams. "With this new build of F25 Updated Lives will save you about 800 M of updates after install. As always the isos can be found at http://tinyurl.com/Live-respins2."

GNOME, KDE, MATE, Cinnamon, LXDE, and Xfce flavors available

The F25-20170418 Live ISOs are available for download as we speak from the regular place (link above), and you can choose between multiple variants with the GNOME, KDE Plasma, Xfce, LXDE, Cinnamon, MATE, or SoaS (Sugar on a Stick) desktop environments. As usual, a source DVD of Fedora 25 is available for download as well.

For those unfamiliar with these Fedora Respins, we'd like to remind you that they can also be used to remaster your own Fedora 25 distro, using Fedora Project's Livemedia-creator, a tool that lets users build updated Live ISOs of Fedora Linux. Check out the link above if you want to learn how to create your own Fedora Live ISO. Existing Fedora 25 users need only to keep their installations up to date.
