What's new in the latest build of Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft recently rolled out Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.63, and after finally dealing with some issues that prevented it from arriving on all phones enrolled in the fast ring, the company has also come back to disclose some of the improvements it made this time.

This new build is mostly about bug fixes and performance improvements, so at first glance, there's little chance that you can see anything different. And truth is, Windows 10 Mobile does need such improvements, so it's good to see Microsoft spending more time to refine the overall experience with the operating system.

But in addition to these general enhancements, there are also a number of other more important tweaks that a Microsoft employee has revealed on reddit.

“Just wanted to stop in to let you know that, other than the general reliability, battery and perf improvements that come with each of these revisions, there are also a few things that you've reached out to me about that should be improved,” Jen, a Microsoft employee, has said.

Specifically, here are the improved or new features in Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.63:

Typing on Polish keyboard in Outlook Mail
Turn by turn directions over Bluetooth in car
Battery usage with Iris Reco
Reliability of quick actions settings page
MS Band use with Cortana
Keep in mind that Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.63 is currently available only for users enrolled in the fast ring, so if you've decided to go with the slow one, no update should show up for you. But on the other hand, this could be the upgrade version that might be released to users on Windows Phone, so after insiders thoroughly test it, Microsoft might actually push it to the general public as well.

In the meantime, it's clearly an update that comes in handy to insiders, especially because it's the first of 2016, but as Microsoft promised, many more should be released in the coming weeks and months.
