The coming Need for Speed reboot is one of those games that needs to be always online and the development team at Ghost Games working on it says that this requirement is important to gameplay because it allows the engine to create stories in interesting ways, all linked to the actions of the player.

Marcus Nilsson, the executive producer, is quoted by GamesRadar as saying in the new Official Xbox Magazine that "We’ve been pretty big with Autolog throughout the years and, as we know, it’s a really powerful feature. This time around we’re going to give it more of a human voice. It will treat your friend’s play as if it is part of the narrative experience."

The developer did not offer details on how a story would be created by the new Need for Speed in order to incorporate the racing of both the player and the friends that he interacts with.

Nilsson does say that the upcoming racing game also comes with a new automatic image sharing feature, which will snap shots of the most impressive moments of an event.

They will be automatically shared on the Need for Speed network, other gamers can like them and they will then be re-included in the game as a sort of currency that powers more progression options for gamers.

Need for Speed will deliver a full reboot for the series

Ghost Games and publisher Electronic Arts have said that the new title is designed to offer gamers an experience that combines the best elements of installments from the past of the franchise.

This full reboot will use the Frostbite 3 engine to deliver more realistic and impressive visuals.

At the moment, Ghost Games is not offering a list of the vehicles that are included in the new Need for Speed and says that it is delivering more resources than ever to make sure the cars are simulated in the smallest detail.

Customization has also been promised, and the developers will probably soon also introduce more info on the way the always online element will improve the racing experience.

Need for Speed will be offered on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony on November 3 of this year.
