mywaves announced the availability of the first Web-to-mobile video marketing offering, SND2MBL, that allows content owners and brands to send video from their websites to consumers' mobile phones. mywaves believes SND2MBL will pave the way for groundbreaking mobile marketing campaigns and a new, carrier independent distribution channel for branded entertainment to the mobile phone.

mywaves' SND2MBL is available for free at mywaves' website. Content owners, brands or Webmasters only need to register to receive the SND2MBL code, which they embed on their websites, mobilizing the video they're featuring. Beyond delivering clips to consumers on an opt-in basis, SND2MBL customers who frequently update their video can offer their viewers the choice of subscribing to a mobile channel, and mywaves will send a text alert to let them know there is something new to watch.

In addition to the free ad-supported SND2MBL offering, mywaves is offering a premium version as well. The advanced SND2MBL offering provides comprehensive audience measurement to marketers so they know who is watching, how often a video is forwarded to someone else via a mobile phone and a full comprehensive analysis of audience and reach.

"Brands and advertisers are increasingly spending more on their Web presence and at the same time they are looking for ways to extend the value and reach of that investment," said Rajeev Raman, CEO of mywaves. "With SND2MBL, brands and content owners get a screen-to-screen solution that lets them further the relationships they have with their current customers and potentially tap into a new consumer audience, anywhere, anytime, instantly."

SND2MBL can have a variety of uses, ranging from mobilizing Web video on a user's social networking page, to giving marketers a new way to extend their brand and mobilize the video content on the company's website.
