T-Mobile announced only yesterday the availability of its upcoming myTouch 3G Android-powered mobile phone, and a series of more details and photos on it have already emerged into the wild. For starters, we should mention that the device will become available for purchase with the carrier's users in three different color schemes, namely black, white and merlot.

But it seems that these are not set to be the only color versions that users will be able to choose from. According to the wireless carrier, a wide range of personalization options will be available, including the possibility to design unique shells for the phone via a dedicated site. Users can customize their devices in a multitude of manners, including the uploading of personal photos, graphic design, or selecting text, shapes, icons or logos, which will be printed on the shell.

The live photos with the phone published on Android Authority show a little of what that means, as the back covers of the handsets caught on camera are customized. Some photos with the device in action are also available, and it seems that the myTouch 3G is capable of attracting a lot of attention through its functionality too, not only through its looks. A video with the phone can be seen below as well.

When it comes to the level of customizations users can apply to the handset, the mobile phone carrier seems determined to push the limits as far as possible. As such, there are a wide range of accessories available for the myTouch 3G, including shells, gel skins, custom cases, custom straps, custom holsters, battery extenders, and docking ports.

Inside the handset, users will also get access to a variety of applications suited both for personalization and for their daily needs. While the Android Market already provides access to a lot of applications that work on the device, there are also a few that the operator will push to the phone, we learn. Some of the software solutions that can be used with the upcoming myTouch 3G include Sherpa, imeem mobile and Movies by Flixster.

Moreover, users will also be able to enjoy myAccount, myFaves, HotSpot Locator and Visual Voicemail, which come from the carrier itself. At the same time, it seems that more applications will arrive in the future, including the AppPack solution that T-Mobile expects to be able to release to the Android Market as soon as next month. Among the features of the app we can count the possibility to manage T-Mobile accounts, as well as the highlighting of other “noteworthy applications” for further customizations.
