Wireless operator T-Mobile has finally decided to go official with the rumored myTouch 3G 1.2, which is now listed on the company's website as coming soon with a 3.5mm headphone jack included in the package. Moreover, the mobile phone carrier also notes that the new version of the handset will land with a Swype keyboard on board, which means that its owners will be able to enjoy enhanced typing capabilities.

“Stay connected on the go with this sleek, fully customizable, Android-powered phone. Now with a 3.5mm audio jack, an 8GB memory card, and a pre-loaded Swype keyboard. A data service is required and will be added to your cart,” the carrier states on its website. Basically, the new flavor of the popular device includes the same capabilities as the older version, except for the newly attached 3.5mm audio jack and for the Swype technology.

What users will receive when purchasing the myTouch 3G 3.5mm Jack includes a device with touchscreen capabilities, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options, 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording and auto focus, GPS receiver, a great deal of messaging options, and a 1340 mAh Li-Ion battery inside that can offer up to 7 hours of talk time or up to 16 days of stand by time, all packed inside a handset that measures 2.2 x 4.5 x 0.6 inches and weighs 4.1 ounces.

Until this handset becomes available, we should mention that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G - Fender Limited Edition model, which was released into the wild in January, is now out of stock on the carrier's website. Previous reports on the device already suggested that it might enjoy high demand among T-Mobile's users, and it seems that they are indeed attracted by it a lot. However, the operator notes that it is only temporarily out of stock, meaning that it should soon be put on sale again.

For the time being, T-Mobile customers in the US have only four Android-based devices they can purchase from the carrier's website, including the T-Mobile G1, which is priced at $99.99 on contract, or the T-Mobile myTouch 3G – White, Motorola CLIQ and Samsung Behold II, all of which feature a price tag of $149.99 on contract.
