Electronic notes for iPhone and iPod touch

Note-taking apps can be very useful, and they can take many forms, but post-it notes have always been the most popular. So, developer Iswhereiam decided to combine the two, and has come up with mySticky for iPhone and iPod touch, a great alternative to cluttered to-do apps and messy post-it notes.

By allowing the notes to be moved anywhere on the screen, mySticky provides a natural feeling of actually writing and sticking notes on a dashboard. By double tapping a sticky, users can begin to edit it to include a title and text body, after which they can choose to assign it a specific color, e-mail the note, or even take a picture using the “S” button to find that note later in the Camera Roll.

To hover over the notes across your dashboard, just use the pointer button to the bottom right side of the screen. Then hit it again to stop the scrolling. Enter a note to edit or erase its contents by double-tapping it. It's that easy and intuitive!

Note: The fact that notes can be assigned different colors is very important, as it allows the user to associate tasks, or simple pieces of information with that color, providing a way to categorize and distinguish notes more easily.

mySticky also offers the ability to choose from several fonts and backgrounds to make the visual experience as suitable as possible for every type of user. As such, one has fonts including Arial, American Typewritter (my chose for this review), Courier New, Helvetica, etc., and dashboards ranging from Cork Board-style and Gold, to Wood and plain White. These options are available by accessing the General settings of the iPhone, under mySticky.

You always know how many notes you need to review by taking a quick glance at the app's icon. According to my iPhone, I still have five things to take care of, remember about, or e-mail to others. I'd better see to them before it's not too late.

The version of mySticky reviewed today is 2.7 Lite, which offers most of the program features with a limit of five stickies. The full version allows for more stickies and has support for rotating the mySticky desktop.
