my1voice announced today the launch of its feature-rich virtual phone service for small businesses in Canada. According to the company, the new service has been designed mainly for entrepreneurs and small businesses, and can prove a great option for those with mobile workers or employees, as it enables availability from a single number to all those connected to the service.

The company also stated that the my1voice service had been designed so as to work with existing mobile phones while offering a series of features that include a virtual receptionist, an unlimited number of extensions, or smart call forwarding. At the same time, the service offers enhanced voicemail services, advanced call screening and more.

my1voice is aimed at five core needs of small businesses:
Professionalism - ensuring that every call is professionally answered by the virtual receptionist and then forwarded to the appropriate person or department.
Mobility – delivers calls anywhere at any time – whether in the office, at a customer’s location, at home, or even on vacation.
Efficiency – resulting from features such as the virtual receptionist, voicemail to email, and conference calling,
Control – users can decide when and where they take calls, or when the call goes straight to voicemail.
Cost effective – it works with the phones that a business already owns – so there’s no equipment needed, and no IT or maintenance costs.

At the same time, the company notes that customers can choose either a toll free phone number, or a local phone number from a city in the U.S. or Canada, even if the business is not located in that city. Moreover, existing businesses that already have an established phone number are offered the possibility to transfer their number to the my1voice service with no fee. The company offers a free 30-day trial for those interested in the service, and more details on the matter are available on its website.

“Being consistently available to customers and prospects can be a challenge for employees of a small business, particularly when their work often takes them outside the office or they are working virtually,” said Steve Adams, vice president of marketing for Protus, the provider of my1voice. “my1voice solves those issues by providing a host of professional features normally found only in enterprise-level phone systems at a cost-effective and competitive price.”
