Motorola has just announced two affordable smartphones, the Motorola Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus, both partially made out of metal. The phones succeed last year’s Moto E3 line and run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.

The two smartphones feature water-repellent coating and come with some differences, the Moto E4 Plus being the larger phone and with more capacity. Therefore, Moto E4 features a 5-inch 720p display and comes with a 2,800mAh battery, while running the Snapdragon 427 processor and offering 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone measures 144.5 x 72 x 9.3 mm.

In terms of rear camera capacity, Moto E4 has an 8MP camera and a 5MP front sensor with its own LED flash and comes with a fingerprint sensor in the front. In this year’s model, Motorola increased the RAM capacity and internal storage, among other things, compared to last year’s Moto E3 phone. Moto E4 will come in Licorice Black and Fine Gold colors.

The newly announced Moto E4 Plus features a 5,000mAh battery

The Moto E4 Plus features a 5.5-inch 720p display and comes with a 5,000mAh battery, larger than on the Moto E4. The Plus model measures 155 x 77.5 x 9.55 mm, bigger than the standard variant. Motorola says that the phone’s battery can go for 2 days without requiring a recharge.

Inside, Moto E4 Plus runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 processor together with 2GB of RAM and comes in two variants depending on internal storage, either 16GB or 32GB. It features a fingerprint sensor and has a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front sensor with LED flash. Moto E4 Plus will be available in Iron Gray and Fine Gold colors.

Motorola intends to sell the Moto E4 Plus for $179.99 (or €199 in Europe), while the Moto E4 will feature a price tag of $129.99 (or €149 in Europe). The standard Moto E4 will be sold as an Amazon Prime Exclusive Phone, at a lower price. Motorola says the Moto E4 will be available June 22.
