Motorola has just announced two new entry-level Android phones, the Moto C and Moto C Plus. The smartphones feature low-end specs and come with prices starting at just €89.

In terms of design, the two smartphones are almost identical, but they do feature quite different specs inside. Motorola’s new phone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA (854x480) touchscreen, which is quite surprising for a phone launched in 2017. The rear camera features a 5MP lens with 1.4 micron pixels, 74-degree field of view and LED flash.

It also comes with fixed focus and 720p video recording support. In terms of front camera, the smartphone comes with a 2MP shooter with 1 micron pixels and a 63-degree field of view and LED flash. Moreover, the shooter has a fixed focus feature.

Moto C Plus runs MediaTek's MT6737M chipset with a 1.1GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 chip, just 1GB of RAM and 8 or 16GB of internal memory. It draws power from a 2,350mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat. Moto C is made available in Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold and Starry Black color options.

Moto C Plus has more RAM and a bigger battery

Moto C is expected to arrive this spring in markets across Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific. Its price will be €89 unlocked for the variant with 8GB of storage and 3G connectivity, while the 4GB model with 16GB of memory will sell for €99.

Moto C Plus has some similar specs to the Moto C, but it does feature some improvements. The Plus model comes with a 5-inch 720p display, an 8MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. It runs the same chipset but with a higher clocking speed, while RAM capacity is 2GB with 16GB of storage.

The battery capacity inside the Moto C Plus is the most exciting feature of Motorola’s new smartphone, 4,000mAh. In terms of pricing, the Moto C Plus will sell for €119 for the 1GB of RAM variant, while the 2GB of RAM variant will surely cost more. Both smartphones run Android 7.0 Nougat and, sadly, they won’t arrive to the US.
