Motorola is one of the companies that have yet to launch their flagship smartphones, but fans of the US brand won't have to wait too long since the Moto X (2016) will be announced on June 9.

Along with the Moto X (2016), Motorola is expected to introduce other mid-range Android phones known as Moto G (4th Gen) and Moto G4 Plus.

While we already know a few things about these two Motorola handsets, no information about the company's flagship device emerged until now.

The folks over at Mobipicker have spotted an unknown Motorola XT1650 on Geekbench, which we believe is the company's upcoming smartphone.

Considering that the previous high-end handset coming from Motorola, the Moto X Pure Edition, features model number XT1575, it would make sense the sequel to have a slightly higher model number.

It might be among the first non-Nexus devices to receive Android N

Unfortunately, the listing at Geekbench provides us with little details about the flagship's specs. In fact, the information is limited to chipset and amount of RAM while the rest remains a mystery.

The details provided by the benchmark shouldn't be surprising for anyone since we're talking about a flagship smartphone. For example, the Moto X (2016) will come equipped with a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM.

That's the standard configuration for all flagships launched this year, so we are more interested to see what unique features Motorola plans to bring inside the Moto X (2016).

Naturally, the device will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box and will probably be among the first to be upgraded to Android N when Google releases it.

This is the first benchmark that mentions the Moto X (2016), which means Motorola has already started testing prototype units ahead of the rumored June 9 announcement. But we're expecting more news on the phone in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
