US phone manufacturer Motorola has recently started to send out invites to an event scheduled to take place on July 28. The event will be held in three cities at the same time: New York, London, and Sao Paulo.

And judging by the amounts of leaks we have seen in the past few months, it’s pretty safe to assume that, in a few days, we will get to see the Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto X (3rd Gen) get unveiled.

We have already seen a few images of the upcoming Moto G leak, and it seems that now, a few days ahead of the big reveal, we get to see the Moto X 2015 smile for the camera as well.

Is this the real Motorola Moto X (2015)?

We’re treated to two live images of the Moto X which show the front and back of the handset. The pictures reveal some interesting aspects, like flash on the frontal camera and what seems to be a fingerprint scanner.

Even though everyone is snapping selfies these days, LED flash on the secondary camera is still pretty rare, but the next-gen Moto X seems to be taking advantage of one.

As for the fingerprint scanner, it seems that Motorola has decided to put it on the back of the handset and not embedded in the home button as is the case with the Samsung Galaxy S6.

At some point in the past, we saw a leaked image showing the rear shell of the upcoming Moto X, which revealed that the phone might lack a fingerprint scanner.

We guess we’ll just have to wait until the big day to see whether Motorola has decided to put such an authentication system into the phone.

Moto X (2015) purported specs

The Moto X (2015) is expected to arrive with a 5.2-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixel resolution) display, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor fitted with 4GB of RAM, and at least 16GB of internal storage.

According to word on the street, we should also see dual-front speakers with stereo capabilities.

How does the next-gen Moto X sound to you?
