Both smartphones could be announced in May

Motorola is one of the few handset makers that haven’t introduced any new smartphones in 2016, but that’s about to change if we are to believe the latest rumors surfaced online.

The Moto G4 Plus is one of the mid-range Android smartphones that the US company plans to launch as early as next month. The Moto G 4th Generation is another device that could be unveiled around the same time as the Moto G4 Plus.

A few days ago, the only thing we knew about Motorola’s upcoming handsets was the name. Today, new information provided by Winfuture’s main scooper Roland Quandt highlights some of the specs Motorola fans should expect to find in the next two devices to be launched by the company.

Let’s start with Motorola Moto G4 Plus, which, apparently, will be available for purchase in May 2016 for just €280 outright. Although this is the European price of the smartphone, customers living in the United States should expect the Moto G4 Plus to be offered for $280 or slightly less (definitely not more).

5.5-inch display and 16GB internal memory for both phones

The Moto G4 Plus is a mid-range smartphone that should run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box. The handset is said to sport a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display, but we’re still in the dark when it comes to the supported resolution.

Furthermore, the smartphone will pack a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, as well as 16GB of internal memory. There’s no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion at the moment.

Next in line, the Moto G 4th Generation is another mid-range device that will ship with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system onboard. It will feature a similar 5.5-inch display with unknown resolution.

However, on the back, there should be a slightly lower 13-megapixel photo snapper. It will come with 16GB of storage inside, just like the Moto G4 Plus.

Last but not least, both Motorola smartphones will debut in two color options: black and white. As mentioned earlier, they should be available for purchase beginning May 2016.
