We're probably less than a month away from the official unveiling of Motorola's Moto G (3rd Generation) and the first spyshots of a working prototype have just been leaked online.

French blog Nowhereelse has just published several pictures of the unannounced smartphone, but additional details on specs have yet to emerge.

As shown in the pictures, the next Moto G smartphone is likely to be launched on the market as Motorola Moto G (3rd Generation), even though previous rumors pointed to a Moto G (2015) name.

Still, the smartphone might be released under both names, so depending on the region it might be known as Moto G (3rd Generation) or Moto G (2015).

As for the specs, we're left with what we already knew from previous rumors coming from sources close to the matter. The next Moto G smartphone will sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

Two Moto G (3rd Gen) versions should be announced in July

The device will be powered by a decent 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, which will be paired with 1GB of RAM.

However, rumor has it that Motorola might launch two Moto G (3rd Generation) models with different amount of memory. So, those who can afford it will be able to grab the improved version that's said to pack 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The regular model will come with only 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. The good news is both versions will feature microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64).

On the back, the Moto G (3rd Generation) is said to boast a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there will be a secondary 5-megapixel selfie camera.

Last but not least, the pictures leaked today reveal the Moto G (3rd Generation) will be powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

Motorola is expected to unveil the next-generation Moto G at the end of the month, possibly on July 28. There's no word though on when exactly it will be available for purchase and for how much.
