We’ve been feeding you information related to the Verizon-bound Motorola DROID Turbo 2 for a while now, so you probably know that the phone is expected to make a debut in October.

Well, this week, we finally have the exact launch date confirmed. According to Phandroid, users can expect to see the DROID Turbo 2 make a debut into the wild on October 29, exactly one month after Google officially unveils Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Nexus 5X, and Nexus 6P.

What’s more, the phone is said to include Moto Maker support, so users will be able to customize it any way they like. The DROID Turbo will be launched outside the US as the Motorola Moto X Force (previously known as the Motorola Bounce) and we’ve already seen what its specs are going to be.

This DROID is the first to get Moto Maker

The Verizon exclusive will make an appearance with a 5.43-inch QHD Shatterproof display (meaning the screen will be reinforced with metal edges to make it more hard to break) with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and a Snapdragon 810 processor under the hood. Not very good news for those who were hoping to avoid the overheating platform from Qualcomm.

Moving along, the device is expected to arrive bundled with 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of built-in storage. Motorola is also offering a 21MP/5MP camera combo and there’s a pretty hefty 3,760 mAh battery pumping fuel into the phone.

Another important piece of information we have to share with you is that you’ll apparently be able to get your hands on the DROID Turbo 2 via Moto Maker (in addition to Verizon’s retail locations), which is a first in the DROID family. That means that you’ll be offered the option of picking the model up directly from Motorola, if you so choose to.

What’s more, those who do choose to order the DROID Turbo 2 online via Moto Maker, will be given an unexpected bonus. Motorola is throwing in a free, 1-time design swap/replacement within 2 years of purchase, so when you get bored, you can go ahead and request a change of color. Pretty cool, isn’t it?
