Although Motorola has already unveiled three new smartphones this summer, there are still a few Moto X handsets the US-based company plans to launch by the end of the year.

The Moto X Force has already been leaked a few weeks ago and we know it will be rolled out globally beginning December.

News about another Motorola smartphone codenamed Bounce popped up as well, but this seems to be the US version of the Moto X Force.

At least that's what @upleaks claims, who also confirms the smartphone will be launched in the United States as DROID Turbo 2.

Given its naming scheme, the smartphone will be exclusively available in the United States at Verizon Wireless, at least at first.

There's no word on pricing options yet, but according to the same source the DROID Turbo 2 might make it to the US much earlier than the international version.

Apparently, the Big Red plans to launch the new Motorola high-end smartphone sometime in October. We will probably learn more about the DROID Turbo 2's price and availability.

Android Lollipop or Marshmallow?

Luckily, we know quite a bit about the phone's specs, so here is a quick recap for those who did not read our previous reports.

First of all, the DROID Turbo 2 will boast a 5.4-inch shatterproof display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Furthermore, the smartphone will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory.

There's no word on microSD card slot for memory expansion, but rumor has it the Moto X Force will be powered by a 3,760 mAh battery.

It's still unclear whether or not Motorola will be able to include Android 6.0 Marshmallow inside the DROID Turbo 2, but the international version launched as Moto X Force has a bigger chance for that since it's coming in December.
