Motorola is expected to announce a slew of smartphones this year, including in the flagship Moto Z2 line, as well as mid-range series like Moto X. Details about the upcoming Moto X4 have recently been revealed by leakster Andri Yatim, together with the supposed launch date.

The Moto X (2017) will arrive as the Moto X4 and the smartphone will run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 chipset, which was announced last month. In addition, Moto X4 will feature a glass and metal body, together with IP68 certification against water and dust damages, making the phone more resistant.

It will come with a 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution, which means 1920 x 1080 pixels and will have 4GB of RAM capacity. In terms of internal storage, the smartphone will be offered in two variants, one with 32GB and the other with 64GB.

Moto X4 will have a dual-camera setup on the back

One of the smartphone’s main highlights is the dual-camera system on the rear, which is expected to feature two 13MP sensors with f/1.7 and f/2.2 aperture, offering enhanced camera capabilities and features.

The front sensor will be coupled with a LED flash, but its capacity is unknown at this point. Moving on, the smartphone is tipped to incorporate a 3,800mAh battery with fast charging and USB Type-C support, aside from NFC tools. It will also run the latest Android Nougat out of the box and feature a fingerprint sensor in the front.

In terms of pricing, the leakster says Moto X4 will be sold for about $325 and supposedly launch on June 30, but that has yet to be officially confirmed by Motorola. The tipster also mentions that the Moto G5S+, Moto X4 and the yet unannounced Moto Z2 Force will all be coming this summer.

The Moto Z2 Force will carry a price tag of about $605, while the Moto G5S+ will cost $279. Moto Z2 Force will be the highlight from Motorola this year, as the phone is expected to feature the latest specs and a premium design.
