Motorola intends to launch new smartphones belonging to all five of its phone series this year, according to a presentation slide that leaked a few weeks ago. An interesting detail on the slide referred to new iterations in the Moto G series.

The Moto G line welcomed two smartphones earlier this year, the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, but it seems that Motorola is preparing new devices in the series. Specifically, the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus will join the other two phones that were launched during CES in January.

The Moto G5S has just leaked in a press render, revealing the color options and design elements that users should expect, according to Android Authority. The image reveals that the smartphone will be available in gray, gold and blue color options.

Moto G5S features a 5.2-inch Full HD display

The Moto G5S appears to feature a design quite similar to the other Moto G5 phones, but antenna lines placed at the top seem to resemble those on the back of the Moto G5 Plus. Another change is the full metal body on the Moto G5S, compared to the aluminum and plastic panel on the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus. The back panel also features antenna lines, rather than plastic cut-outs.

In addition, the Moto G5S seems to feature a dimple with the Motorola logo on the back, in the place where the index finger would normally be placed during a phone call. The Moto G5S is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, while the Moto G5 Plus could actually come with a 5.5-inch Full HD display, full metal body and dual-camera setup on the back.

Aside from these two phones, Motorola is also expected to announce new iterations in the Moto Z line of smartphones, as well as Moto X and Moto E, after it recently introduced the Moto C and Moto C Plus with prices starting at just €89.
