14 DAY TRIAL // Motorola is expected to announce a number of smartphones this year, including the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. Specs, pricing and the release date for the former were recently disclosed by Roland Quandt, revealing everything about the upcoming phone.
Moto E4 is expected to arrive on July 17 in Canada, with a price tag of about $185.69, making this phone quite affordable to consumers. Its full spec list has recently leaked, pointing towards a 5.0-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The entry-level smartphone will come with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can expand to 128GB using a microSD card. In addition, it will run a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC clocked at 1.25GHz and coupled with Mali-T720MP2. The phone will also run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
2,800mAh battery and 8MP rear camera on the Moto E4
Regarding its rear camera capacity, the Moto E4 will feature an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, together with a 5MP front camera. Inside the smartphone draws power from a 2,800mAh removable battery. It will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and come with a microUSB port and Bluetooth 4.2. The phone will be made available in Lunar Grey color option, just like the Moto E4 Plus.
The latter is said to have a larger battery of 5,000mAh, while the display size will reach 5.5 inches, but with the same pixel resolution as on the Moto E4. In addition, it will be wider and taller than the Moto E4. The Plus variant could have a RAM capacity of 3GB, while its internal storage could stick to 16GB.
The rear camera on the back of the Moto E4 Plus will be higher at 13MP, while the selfie snapper will stay at 5MP. Obviously, the Moto E4 Plus will have a higher price compared to the Moto E4, of about €190 ($207) in Europe. But before these two phones are unveiled, Motorola is expected to announce the Moto Z2 Play this Thursday.
