The Moto Z2 flagship is expected to arrive later this year, while Motorola is also planning to announce two new smartphones, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. The latter has just surfaced in a number of images, revealing that it will come with a removable battery, according to a report.

The main selling point of the Moto E4 Plus will be the 5,000mAh removable battery, which is expected to power the 5.5-inch device.

Screen resolution could reach 720 x 1280 pixels on the new phone, while the device is expected to run MediaTek MT6737M SoC with a quad-core 1.3GHz CPU and Mali-T720MP2 graphics processing unit. In terms of size, Moto E4 Plus will be wider and taller than the Moto E4, which measures 144.7 x 72.3 x 8.99 mm.

RAM capacity will reach 2GB or 3GB, while internal storage is said to be 16GB, just like on the Moto E4. The standard model in the lineup will have a smaller battery of 2,800mAh and a display size of 5.0-inches.

Moto E4 Plus could be sold for about $207

Both devices will run the same CPU and GPU, while RAM capacity on the Moto E4 will be just 2GB. Rear camera capacity will reach 8MP on the Moto E4, while the Moto E4 Plus will have a main camera lens of 13MP. 5MP selfie snappers will be incorporated in both the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus.

Both smartphones are expected to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, and naturally, their prices will differ. Moto E4 will sell for about €150 ($164), while the larger smartphone will have a price tag of €190 ($207) in Europe.

The smartphones will be made available in a number of countries, soon after they’re officially announced. The two devices recently received FCC certification, which means that Motorola could unveil and release them to the market soon.
