After announcing the Moto Z2 Play, Motorola still has some smartphones that it intends to unveil this summer. The Moto E4 and E4 Plus are just two of them and the new devices have just appeared in new renders revealing color options.

The renders were posted by Roland Quandt and they show three color options for the upcoming Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus. Therefore, the new phones will be made available in Gray, Blue and Gold colors, but there’s a major difference between the variants.

Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus in Gray and Blue colors will have black front panels, while the Gold version will feature the same color on all sides, including on the bezels at the front. This will make the phone look sleeker, regardless of the back panel’s color.

The color options aren’t exactly identical for the two phones, as the Moto E4 Plus appears to feature darker Blue and Gray colors than on the Moto E4. In addition, the Moto E4 in Gold color has a white front panel, while the back panel’s color is closer to Rose Gold than to Champagne Gold.

What's more, the camera setup on the Moto E4 Plus is a bit lower than the back panel, while the circular module creates a bump on the rear panel.

Moto E4 is expected to arrive on July 17 with a 2,800mAh battery and a 5.0-inch display. The smartphone will also feature Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top of the screen and come with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will also run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and feature a quad-core MediaTek MT6737M SoC clocked at 1.25GHz.

By comparison, the Moto E4 Plus will feature a 5,000mAh battery and a 5.5-inch display, while RAM capacity will most likely reach 3GB. The rear camera could come with a 13MP sensor and the phone is said to have a 5MP sensor in the front, same as on the Moto E4.
