14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung is expected to unveil its next flagship on March 29, while pre-orders might start on April 10 and the phone could arrive in stores on April 21. Yesterday, we stumbled upon a short 5-second video of the upcoming phone, and today, a new set of images leaked out.
The leaked images reveal the alleged Galaxy S8’s front and back panel, showing the Always on Display feature on the screen. It reveals the exact hour when the images were taken, but not the date. The on-screen home button is also visible on the display.
The images were leaked by SlashLeaks and show the Galaxy S8 in a black variant, revealing all of its sides, buttons, and ports. The fingerprint scanner is on the back next to the rear camera, while volume rockers and physical home and Bixby buttons are located on both sides. The Galaxy S8 will feature a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The iris scanner is also visible in the front.
White Galaxy S8 variant also revealed
We’ve seen the black Galaxy S8 in multiple images and a video recently, but a second batch of pictures leaked today, revealing the phone with white screen protectors. The pictures were posted by PriceRaja and the tiny bezels are easier to distinguish on the white variant.
The Galaxy S8 is expected to come in a number of color variants, including silver and black. The images do give us a better view of the on-screen capacitive buttons, which are said to be customizable. More pictures and information about the upcoming phone are expected to surface until the March 29 unveiling.
As we reported earlier, Samsung has already showcased the Galaxy S8 to a number of partners at MWC 2017 who were very impressed with the new device. The Galaxy S8 will come with Samsung’s own virtual assistant Bixby and feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, among other powerful components.
