HMD Global is expected to relaunch the iconic Nokia 3310 later this week, during a press conference set to be held at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Some details about the upcoming phone surfaced earlier today and a recent report reveals that the phone will be available for purchase exclusively at Carphone Warehouse in the UK.

HMD Global hasn’t yet announced if the new Nokia 3310 will be launched globally or made available only in certain countries. Considering that 126 million units of the initial Nokia 3310 were sold globally since the phone was launched 17 years ago, it’s safe to say that the new version will make its way to many countries.

A report by Mobile Today reveals that Carphone Warehouse will be the launch partner for HMD Global in the UK. The retailer might exclusively sell the phone in the UK, but there’s no information about the other Nokia-branded phones that the company intends to announce this Sunday.

The new Nokia 3310 is rumored to cost $63 (€59)

Nokia and other companies exited the feature phone market when it started to contract and consumers lost interest in such products. With the relaunch of the 3310 model, HMD Global wants to address the needs of people who are still interested in such phones and those who are nostalgic for THE phone’s durability and extensive battery life.

Rumors say that the new Nokia 3310 will have roughly the same design as its predecessor, but will be lighter and thinner. In addition, the phone could come with a larger colored display, which would allow users to view more content. The new Nokia 3310 will be made available in red, green and yellow colors, aside from black, gray, and blue.

Snake was one of the games that made Nokia 3310 very popular, and it remains to be seen if the modern version of the device will feature an updated version of this highly enjoyable game.
