Minecraft console owners can now download the latest major update for the game across most platforms. Title Update 25 is live on Xbox 360, while PS4, PS3, and PS Vita users can get patch 1.17 for their platforms. Due to a technical error, Xbox One users have to wait a bit more until their Content Update 14 is live.

Minecraft has tens of millions of fans all over the world, and while the game's home is still on the PC platform, there are a huge amount of people enjoying the experience across various consoles, thanks to the ports released by 4J Studios.

The latest major update is available on most consoles

After sharing the first details yesterday, 4J Studios now confirms on Twitter that most console users are able to download the latest Minecraft update on their platforms.

More specifically, Minecraft users on Xbox 360 can download Title Update 25 right now, via the Xbox Live service.

Meanwhile, users across the PlayStation family, i.e. PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, can score patch 1.17 for their own version of Minecraft right now across the Europe and Asia territories. Those in North America will have to wait until later today to score the long-awaited patch.

At the same time, the Minecraft LittleBigPlanet Mash-up DLC pack is also live across PS4, PS3, and PS Vita platforms.

Unfortunately for Minecraft fans on the Xbox One, the studio mentions that an issue on Microsoft's side has delayed the release of Content Update 14 for the platform. The patch should appear in about one hour.

The major patch brings forth a wide array of fresh options for Minecraft players, including the possibility to create super flat worlds, to interact with new block types and many other items. They can also change a myriad of settings without having to leave the current session, such as the difficulty.

A free Minecon 2015 DLC pack is set to roll out later today across all versions of Minecraft.
