14 DAY TRIAL // The next major update for Minecraft: Pocket Edition has finally arrived on iOS platform. After having been teased for a few months now, update 0.12.1 is now available for download in App Store.
We reported to you yesterday that the Windows Phone version of the game received the same update. Unfortunately, Android gamers will have to wait a while longer since update 0.12.1 did not make it to Google Play Store yet.
However, we do know that Mojang has already submitted the new version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition, so it's up to Google to approve it and make it available for download in Play store.
Update 0.12.1 brings loads of new content and gameplay features. The good news is the latest version of Minecraft: Pocket Edition comes with an official changelog attached to it.
As some of you might have already known by now, one of the most important improvements included in the update is cross-platform play for up to 5 players between Android, iOS and Windows Phone players and those who play the game on Windows 10.

But here are some of the most important new features and improvement included in the Minecraft: Pocket Editon version 0.12.1:
- The Nether and all its inhabitants. Fight Ghasts and make friends with Pigmen; - Cross platform play for up to five players between Pocket Edition and Windows 10; - Revamped touch controls, controller support, and a controller mapping screen; - Enhanced Weather effects! Accumulating snow and more; - Ocelots! Try taming one with a fish; - Experience, Anvils, Brewing, and enchantments. Time to up your game, crafter; - Golems. We recommend you approach with caution; - Flower pots. We recommend you fill them with flowers; - Sneaking and sprinting! Express yourself through movement! - Loads of bug fixes that are too boring to list here; - Lots, lots more!
If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Minecraft:Pocket Edition for iOS for $6.99 / €6.99 via App Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by iOS 5.1.1 or later.
