14 DAY TRIAL // Precisely one month ago, Miley Cyrus came out as genderqueer and bisexual in an interview with Paper Magazine. If that name rings a bell, it’s because it’s the same that aimed to “break the Internet” by putting Kim Kardashian and her oily booty (literally) on the cover.
Right about that time, a rumor started making the rounds that Miley was dating good friend Stella Maxwell, a model working as an Angel for Victoria’s Secret. Apparently, they had been a couple for some time but had waited for her to come out officially before making their debut as an item.
That moment has come.

The photo attached to this article is of Miley and Stella making out in a parking lot, on the side of a truck. There’s also video of it, but we can’t embed it here because they do a bit more than just kiss at one point.

Given that the video came hot on the heels of the rumors that they were an item, many assumed it was confirmation of the relationship. After all, now that Miley was out publicly, they no longer saw the need to hide so they just kissed in the street, like any other couple out there would do in a moment of passion.
Legit PDA or PR stunt?
And here’s where things get a bit more complicated. If you watch the video linked, you will notice that, right at the beginning, the two are just talking and, at the same time, observing that they’re being watched by the paparazzi.
They talk some more and only afterwards start to kiss, which would indicate that they deliberately set out to put on a show for the pap, to give them something to talk about.
Before you think either girl would do this for attention only, TMZ also has this theory: Miley has a new music video coming out and she can use whatever exposure she can get. This type of intense PDA should bring her more than a fair share of it, which should push the song and the video up in the charts.
This sounds like a very cynical plot to come up with, but in showbiz, this would actually be a trifle compared to what other celebrities have done for attention.
“The kissing pics were snapped Tuesday night during a break from the set of a music video for Mike Will's song, ‘Drinks On Us.’ It appears they're both in the video, so staging the scene would be brilliant marketing. The video should be big - it features Mike Will, Future, French Montana and Rae Sremmurd,” the celebrity e-zine says.
