Feral Interactive has just revealed that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY for the Linux platform has been released, and it can now be purchased with a 50% discount from the Feral and Steam stores.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY is a game originally developed by Monolith Productions and published by WB Games. It had enormous success, and it's undoubtedly one of the best games from 2014. When Feral Interactive announced just a few months ago that it was going to port the game to the Linux platform, everyone got excited and with good reason.

Now, some of you will remember that WB Games are the same ones who published the recent Batman Arkham Knight for the PC and it was a disaster, so much so that they had to pull the game from shelves. To be fair, WB Games is also one of the publishers who decided to give it a try and support the SteamOS platform (Linux), which is not something that we can say about the likes of Activision, Electronic Arts, or Ubisoft.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY has everything

The GOTY edition of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor contains all the DLCs that have been released for the game, and there are a lot of them. You'll find a complete list below. Only a few are big ones that relate to the story, but it's an interesting collection nonetheless.

"Fight through Mordor and uncover the truth of the spirit that compels you, discover the origins of the Rings of Power, build your legend and ultimately confront the evil of Sauron in this new chronicle of Middle-earth," reads the Steam entry.

The launch of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY for Linux and Mac OS systems is a reason for celebration, so the game is available right now with a 50% price cut that is scheduled to expire on August 3.
