If you ever installed Windows 10 from scratch, you probably noticed that Microsoft pre-installs a series of apps that many users consider to be “bloatware,” and among them, apps and games like Candy Crush Saga.

And while this approach has caused criticism from the user community who expected a totally clean experience, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be willing to give up on pre-installing apps and games in Windows 10, completely ignoring user feedback in this regard.

That’s not the case of Windows 10 Pro for Workstations, which is specifically aimed at enterprises that are actually paying more than the average consumer to have an operating system powering their high-performance computers.

The upcoming Windows 10 Redstone 4 update will include one important change for the SKU aimed at enterprises: consumer apps and games, including here the already famous Candy Crush Saga, would no longer come pre-installed, and will be replaced with titles that make more sense for the customers this version of Windows 10 is addressed to.

In other words, instead of Candy Crush Saga and Microsoft Solitaire Collection, Microsoft will offer apps focused on productivity and enterprise, which the company believes are more relevant to those who install this version of Windows.

“In the next release for Windows, you will see for Windows 10 Pro for Workstations productivity and enterprise focused applications in place of consumer applications and games. This was one of the top feedback shared with us by our partners and users and we’re delivering this in our next update,” Microsoft says.

As for consumers, no such change is planned, and while you can manually uninstall the pre-installed apps and games, they would return with future updates. The next major update for Windows 10 is Redstone 4, which is projected to be finalized for insiders next month, before the public launch takes place in April.
