Expect Microsoft to take the wraps off the Surface PC

Microsoft will hold an event on October 26 to discuss Windows 10 plans, and the company will live stream the entire press conference online to give users around the world the possibility of watching it no matter where they live.

The live stream is available on Microsoft’s website here and will go live on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at 10 AM EDT/7AM PDT. Most likely, CEO Satya Nadella will be the first to take the stage to discuss the company’s recent performance and future vision, before other executives join the party to announce new products.

Without a doubt, the most anticipated moment is the unveiling of the Surface All-in-One PC that will be made by Panos Panay, head of the Devices unit at the Redmond-based software giant and the one who had always believed in Surface, even when everyone criticized the Surface RT.

Microsoft has also announced the #MicrosoftEvent hashtag should you want to talk to others on Twitter about the products that the company unveils, but also to stay up-to-date with the latest info from Redmond executives themselves.

Sadly, no Surface Phone for the time being

It might be redundant already, but it’s worth mentioning that the Surface Phone is very unlikely to see daylight at this event, as Microsoft is believed to be holding it back for a 2017 or even an early-2018 unveiling.

The Surface Phone is said to be Microsoft’s next big thing in phones, as the company is planning on discontinuing the Lumia brand and encourages partners to build their own smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile.

Without a doubt, tomorrow’s event is clearly worth watching, and it goes without saying that we’ll also cover all product unveilings, so keep an eye on our Microsoft section to stay up-to-date with everything newsworthy from the conference. We’ll also publish the live streaming here when it becomes available, so make sure you come back at a later time to get it.
