As weird as that might sound, this is exactly what a new AR app allows customers with a HoloLens to do

Microsoft’s HoloLens has opened the door to a wide variety of AR projects, and without a doubt, it was just a matter of time until someone started exploring the adult-oriented side of this new technology.

A company called 3D Hologroup has created an application whose purpose is to generate a realistically-looking 3D model of a woman and allow users to interact with it using Microsoft’s HoloLens and Meta Vision’s Meta2.

The application is entitled 3D Holo Girlfriend, and as VRfocus writes, is still in beta testing, though participants in the preview program can try out (?!) three different models right now.

Create your own girlfriend

While such an implementation is one step away from AR sex and porn, the parent company says its purpose is to offer unique experience with realistic content that can be customized according to each customer’s preferences.

“While the content is adult oriented we are putting together a unique experience that is always evolving with new technology to bring to the forefront the girlfriend experience,” it says.

One of the features that the software developing firm is currently focused on is enabling custom models “that will allow you to specify the exact details of your girlfriend.” Leaving aside the freaky side of this statement, the company wants to offer customization options that will allow to change every little detail of the 3D girlfriends, or even work with the developing team to create a model from scratch.

Such an implementation will definitely catch the attention of many, but it’ll be interesting to see how Microsoft treats this kind of content. 3D Hologroup says a release of its software is expected in the second half of this year, though no specifics are available for the time being. The beta program is advanced though, and further information will be released at a later time.
