Microsoft silently released another update for the OneNote application for iOS devices. The latest version of OneNote comes with a handful of new features and improvements, which are meant to enhance user experience.

The most important new feature included in the update is called “Motion Pictures” and allows users to embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Vine alongside their notes with the Share Extension. Keep in mind that this new feature is only compatible with iPad Air / Mini 2 and above.

The new update should also provide users with “freedom of translation.” This means that users will be able to rearrange their notes, ex post facto. Also, the update introduces new options like outline, images and other items that can be moved anywhere on a page.

Rotate and resize images whenever you want

But that’s not all, as Microsoft announced that the update contains a new features called “Flex Select,” which allows users to wrangle together selections of text, images, and other page content with the lasso tool.

Last but not least, with the latest version of OneNote for iOS users will be able to rotate and resize images as they wish. However, this new features is only compatible with iPhone 5S and above, as well as iPhone 6th gen and up.

If you don’t have the application yet, you can now download Microsoft OneNote for iOS for free via App Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices running iOS 8.0 or later.

As mentioned earlier, some of the features included might not work on all devices, so make sure you read the app’s description to see what will work on your iOS device.

In other news, some of the features included in this update are already available on Android platform, but they have yet to make their debut on Windows Phone application.
