Microsoft Outlook gets new update on iOS

Microsoft has updated the Outlook email app for iOS with support for Apple’s latest-generation iPhones that are available for purchase right now in the largest markets across the world.

Microsoft Outlook version 2.102.0 is now fully compatible with iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, according to the official changelog posted on the App Store.

The email app was already optimized for the iPhone X, which is 99 percent similar with the iPhone XS, so the biggest change in this update is actually the support the client gets for the bigger iPhone XS Max and the newly-launched iPhone XR.

iPhone XS Max comes with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, the largest Apple has ever released on an iPhone, while iPhone XR boasts a 6.1-inch LCD panel, an entirely new model for the iPhone lineup. As a result, apps need to be optimized to use the entire screen estate.

Regular updates on iOS

As part of its push to stay relevant in the mobile business with apps and services available everywhere, Microsoft keeps updating its Android and iOS clients regularly.

Microsoft Outlook is one such example, as the email app gets major updates on iOS several times every month. For example, this is the fifth update Outlook gets on the iPhone, after four different releases that took place in September.

Furthermore, Microsoft moves quickly to add support for Apple’s new devices every time they are released, as it’s critical for buyers of these devices to be able to use the company’s apps without any substantial drawback caused by incompatibility glitches.

You can download the latest version of Outlook from the App Store, and if you purchased one of the latest-generation iPhones, you should do this as soon as possible to make the most of the app on your device.
