Microsoft has just rolled out a new batch of updates for some Windows 10 apps, including Outlook Mail and Calendar and Windows Alarms & Clock.

All updates are now available in the Windows Store and can be downloaded on both PCs and mobile devices, but we’ve learned that the Outlook Mail and Calendar improvements are only currently showing up on smartphones for the time being.

The changes that Microsoft made in these new versions aren’t exactly major, but they do include some helpful improvements, especially in the case of the mail client.

An undo feature to repair accidental clicks

For example, this new version brings a “What’s new” screen that displays update information whenever the client receives new enhancements. This is clearly a welcome addition, especially because Microsoft has often been criticized for not providing change logs for Windows 10 app and OS updates, so this could be one step towards an eagerly anticipated fix in this regard.

Microsoft previously said that release information would be provided only in the case of bigger updates, when more significant changes are made, but this new Outlook Mail update is clearly minor. So maybe Microsoft has changed its mind and is now showing information for all app updates.

In addition to the “What’s new” screen, the new Outlook Mail version also comes with an undo feature that allows you to reset any change you’ve made. For example, when deleting an email by mistake, you can use the undo feature to bring it back in your inbox. This feature is already available on iOS, for instance, and will definitely come in handy to Windows users as well.

As for the Windows Alarms & Clock update, Microsoft hasn’t provided any information on this, so it most likely includes bug fixes and performance improvements. Both updates are in the store on Windows 10 devices.
