It's time for some new mobile builds for testing, folks!

Microsoft promised to launch new Windows 10 builds for insiders after the October 6 hardware event, but because of various bugs that held back the release, the company had to postpone this until it manages to find a fix that would lead to better reliability and stability.

And this week appears to be the week, as Microsoft is expected to ship a new Windows 10 Mobile build on Tuesday or Wednesday, obviously if no other major bug is found in the meantime.

Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, previously hinted that build 10559 was tested internally at the company, but it's not yet clear if the same version is the one that will be released to users this week or the Windows development team has already prepared a newer build.

More bugs to fix

The rollout, which was initially planned for late last week, was delayed because of a memory corruption bug, as Aul himself explained in a series of tweets.

“We have a Mobile build in final ring, but we've been chasing a challenging bug on PC so need time there. Telemetry on the mobile build in the MS ring had too high a crash rate, so we're taking a couple of key fixes and re-spinning. We caught a memory corruption bug in the WU service, so need to fix that first,” he added.

Of course, everyone is expecting Windows 10 Mobile builds to roll out at a much faster pace now that we're getting very close to the official release date planned for December, but Microsoft seems to take its time to improve every version before making it available to users.

What's reassuring, however, is that Windows 10 Mobile is set to be feature-complete, which means that the company is only working on fixing bugs and improving overall performance. So the next build that will be released to users is very likely to be similar in terms of features to the RTM, although some small changes could still be seen here and there.

But Windows 10 Mobile is taking shape nicely, so make sure you charge your phones for a new build this week.
