Windows 10 Redstone 3 will be the big star of the show today at Build, as Microsoft will present some of the new features coming in September at the developer conference.

After day 1 was all about cloud and bots, the software giant will discuss the next step for Windows 10 during the opening keynote of day 2, with the top executives from the Windows team to take the stage and discuss the upcoming features.

Terry Myerson, head of the operating systems group at Microsoft, teased the announcements on Twitter, confirming that the Windows team will provide a glimpse into Redstone 3 during the first keynote of day 2 at Build. By the looks of things, there will be lots of announcements, including some HoloLens news.

Without a doubt, the most anticipated moment is the early look at Redstone 3, the next update for Windows 10 that’s projected to launch in September.

Microsoft is very likely to provide us with a look at Project NEON, the visual overhaul that will launch with Redstone 3 and which will make blur and transparency part of our lives once again. Project NEON is already becoming available in app updates in Windows 10, but the Redstone 3 will be the first one to make it widely available for everyone.

The company will also discuss some new features coming to Windows 10 desktops, including improvements for Edge browser.

On the mobile front, though some news in this regard are likely as well, do not expect Windows 10 Mobile to receive too much keynote time, with demos to be mostly focused on PCs.

Users who want to get an early taste of Redstone 3 can enroll in the Windows Insider program and download the early builds, with a new one likely to ship today after the opening keynote.
