Microsoft started the Windows 10 Creators Update rollout on April 11 via Windows Update, but users across the world are getting it in stages, as the company wants to address the reported issues before making it available to everyone.

In a blog post today, Microsoft’s John Cable, Director of Program Management, Windows Servicing and Delivery, says the rollout of the Windows 10 Creators Update is “on track,” pointing out that the feedback received from users across the world is helping to release the operating system update to tens of millions more devices, including eligible Windows phones.

The blog post is mostly centered on the feedback that customers need to send whenever they come across an issue in the operating system, with Cable explaining that this helps ensure that similar configurations are getting a smoother experience.

Fighting the reported bugs

Specifically, Cable points to a bug impacting Bluetooth devices, which stopped working all of a sudden after updating to Windows 10 Creators Update.

Thanks to feedback received from users, Microsoft paused the delivery of the Windows 10 Creators Update to systems that might be impacted by the same bug until the issue was repaired.

“This focus on feedback and customer experience enables us to make updates a key part of our rollout plan: We can rollout to more and more devices with increased confidence knowing we’ve addressed the biggest experience issues facing our customers. The first major rollout expansion was timed with our May monthly quality update that addressed known issues from user feedback, including the previously mentioned block for Bluetooth accessory connection issues: This issue is now resolved,” Cable said.

The Windows 10 Creators Update rollout continues at this point, with no ETA provided by Microsoft as to when it is supposed to complete.

In the case of phones, that shouldn’t take too long given that only 13 models are actually eligible for the Windows 10 Creators Update, but availability here also depends on a series of other factors, like carrier and region.
