Microsoft has started recruiting for Windows 10 Mobile once again, and the job ads that the company posted on its Careers website provide us with a closer look at how the software giant sees the future of its smartphone platform.

In just a few words, Redmond says it’s committed to improving Windows 10 Mobile for all categories of users, including Enterprise partners, OEMs, and consumers, with investments in device management, updatability, and security features.

“We are uniquely positioned to support our Enterprise customers, OEM and Mobile partners who continue to invest in our platform and the consumers who are adapting connectivity scenarios like Continuum. An agile and nimble organization is being created in the Windows and Devices Group (WDG) to support this charter and deliver on the security, manageability features for Enterprises and consumers and be part of the cutting-edge long term investments in Mobile,” Microsoft says in one of the ads.

“High priority features”

The new program manager Microsoft is seeking to hire will be in charge of bringing these features on the platform, with the company emphasizing that consumers are also part of the strategy.

“You will be part of a strong team that will execute on the high priority platform feature for Windows Mobile that will be used by our Enterprise partners, OEMs and consumers,” the firm says.

Microsoft expressing its commitment to Windows 10 Mobile is not necessarily a new thing, as the company has said on several occasions that it wants to continue improving the operating system, while at the same time working with partners on launching new devices.

The device reference is particularly important for users on the platform, mostly because Microsoft is once again skipping this bit, giving absolutely no hint that a new phone manufactured by the company is currently in the works. At the same time, OEMs don’t seem to be particularly interested in launching Windows phones, so even though Microsoft’s investing in the software side, new devices to run it are almost nowhere to be seen.
