Microsoft confirmed earlier this month that it would discontinue several Lumia apps on October 30. The following apps won't be available for download anymore after that date: Lumia Storyteller, Lumia Beamer, Photobeamer and Lumia Refocus.

Today, the Redmond-based company announced that it would also shut down the Lumia Beta Apps website on September 30, 2015.

According to Microsoft, due to the changes in its phone business, the website will be discontinued on the date mentioned earlier.

In any case, those who already offered their feedback on these Lumia beta apps have until September 30 to save the feedback they submitted over the years.

The beta apps will remain listed in Windows Store for now

Microsoft also mentions that the beta apps that were most recently promoted through the Lumia Beta Apps website that will be closed at the end of the month, will continue to be available in the Windows Store until further notice.

This means that while they will still be available for download, Microsoft is likely to pull them from Windows Store at a later date.

Microsoft also states that “if you have any additional feedback about any of these apps, please submit a review in the Windows Store.

“Alternatively, if you are a Windows Insider with a preview build of Windows 10 Mobile, you may use the Windows Feedback app. The feedback forums on the Lumia Beta Apps site have been switched to read-only.”

Microsoft is now preparing for the launch of Windows 10 Mobile operating system, which is supposed to happen later this month.

Before that, the company is determined to get rid of all the apps and services inherited from Nokia, which will now have a new home in the new Windows 10 Mobile environment.

Hopefully, we'll be getting less of these announcements and more apps and services will be launched in Windows Phone platform.
