It’s not a secret that Microsoft has made a hobby of poking fun at Apple and putting its products against MacBooks and iPads in online ads, and today the software giant is trying once again to show why you should buy a Surface Pro 4 (and not an Apple laptop).

This time, Microsoft is using its partnership with the NFL to promote the Surface Pro 4, so the new ad stars Pro Scout Trey Brown to explain why the device comes in so handy every day, highlighting some of the features that aren’t available on the MacBook.

For example, Brown shows how he uses the Surface Pro 4 to write directly on the screen thanks to the touch support and the Surface Pen, while also emphasizing that the device offers a very convenient form factor because it makes it simple to turn it into a tablet and improve portability in a second.

“Pro Scout Trey Brown knows talent when he sees it. From the field to the weight room to his hotel room, Trey's office is wherever he needs it to be. See how he uses the Surface Pro's power and versatility to work on the go,” the YouTube video description states.

New Surface Pro model coming in early 2017

The Surface Pro 4 was launched in October 2015, and Microsoft was expected to take the wraps off the next generation next month, but it turns out that this plan has been changed in the meantime.

People familiar with Microsoft’s plans have said that the company now intends to introduce the new Surface Pro 5 and the Surface Book 2 in the spring of 2017. A hardware event will still be held next month, sources claim, but as compared to the previous years, Microsoft will share it with partners, who’ll also be showcasing some new models.

Microsoft could thus take the wraps off the new Surface PC next month, but this project has never been confirmed. The even could take place in the last week of October, possibly on October 26.
