14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just released the mid-range Lumia 650 smartphone powered by Windows 10 Mobile operating system, but a few more devices from other companies might arrive in the coming weeks as well.
Alcatel also introduced the OneTouch Fierce XL in the United States where it's now available via T-Mobile. HP Elite X3 is a true flagship smartphone that's rumored to hit shelves pretty soon as well.
So, there will soon be plenty of choices for Windows Phone fans coming from companies other than Microsoft. Not to mention that those who own the Xiaomi Mi4 can already install Windows 10 Mobile on their devices if so they wish.
However, it looks like Microsoft is now working with other OEMs to bring Windows 10 Mobile to even more smartphones that are already available on the market, but with another operating system onboard.
According to a new report coming from China, Microsoft has already teamed up with OnePlus and Xiaomi to bring another Windows 10 Mobile ROM for a few smartphones.
Xiaomi Mi5 and OnePlus 3 haven't been officially introduced yet
First of all, Xiaomi Mi5, which is expected to be officially unveiled on February 24, will be among the smartphones that will support Windows 10 Mobile, even though the devices will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.
Furthermore, OnePlus 2 and OnePlus 3 owners might be able to install Windows 10 Mobile pretty soon as well, the report claims.
Keep in mind that OnePlus 3 hasn't been released on the market yet, but that might be one more reason for Windows Phone fans to grab it when the Chinese company launches it probably later this summer.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Xiaomi will make any announcements regarding the Mi5 and a Windows 10 Mobile ROM next week, though Microsoft might save it for a more consistent statement that will include more devices.
