Microsoft has recently announced that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is now available for systems that are enrolled in the Current Branch for Business (CBB), as this version has already been validated by customers and the company fixed a significant number of bugs.

In terms of fixes, the Redmond giant says that it included nearly 1,000 improvements based on customer feedback since the release of the Anniversary Update, so CBB systems can safely deploy this version as well.

“With hundreds of millions of devices already running the CBB version 14393.447 installed by KB 3200970 or any later update, as indicated in the Windows 10 Release Info page, organizations can be assured Windows 10 1607 is fully ready for them,” Microsoft says.

Microsoft then goes on to praise Windows 10, explaining that this operating system experienced an impressive growth in the enterprise sector, with adoption experiencing a 3x increase only in the last six months.

Version 1507 getting updates till March

Of course, the software firm does not miss the occasion to brag about some of the features that are part of Windows 10, such as the strengthened security, pointing out that users are 58 percent less likely to suffer from ransomware than on Windows 7.

“Businesses are seeing significant value, enhanced security and improved productivity with Windows 10 today. With the Windows 10 1607 Current Branch for Business declaration, now is the time to accelerate your Windows 10 deployment,” Microsoft continues.

The company says that installing the latest cumulative updates gets systems using the CBB fully up to date, but it also expects to publish installing media to the Volume Licensing Service Center and to Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) in January “just for convenience.”

Microsoft also warns that Windows 10 version 1507 for CBB will continue to receive updates until March, while Windows 10 version 1511 will reach end of servicing approximately 6 months after Windows 10 Creators Update is released to the CBB.
