Microsoft has rolled out a new Windows 10 Mobile build for insiders in the Fast ring, obviously with no new features, but with a long list of bug fixes and improvements.

The Creators Update for both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile entered the final stages of development, so no new features are being developed, with the company focusing exclusively on fixing issues and giving the last finishing touches before the public launch in April.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15051 fixes frequent reboots experienced by devices running 15047, with Microsoft saying that the Windows team focused specifically on this particular issue with the new build.

“We appreciate several of you sending us feedback on this and last week, we focused on fixing issues that resulted in frequent reboots for some Insiders on Build 15047. If you continue to experience unexpected reboots, be sure to send in feedback to us via Feedback Hub so the team can take a look!” the company explains.

Microsoft also repaired a bug causing apps like Calculator, Outlook Mail, and Groove Music to no longer be available after a hard reset, but also an issue that caused Groove Music not to resume playback after ending a phone call. For more information on what’s fixed and improved in this build you can have a look at the information in the box at the end of the article.

Known issues in this build

There are also several known issues and one of them was confirmed after the build went live, as some users were complaining that pages were constantly reloading or refreshing in Microsoft Edge.

Then, there is one critical bug caused by the unexpected reboot issue, leading to the loss of call, text, and email history. Microsoft says that it’s already investigating this bug and users should report it as soon as possible if they come across it.

Windows 10 Creators Update is projected to launch next month for PCs, while mobile phones should get it shortly after that, with Microsoft itself confirming that desktops would be included in the initial release.
