Office, Maps, and Photos get new improvements

Microsoft rolls out updates for its Windows 10 apps on a daily basis, and today several new programs that are available in the operating system have received improvements.

As you can see in the photo included in the article, updates for no less than 7 Microsoft apps showed up in the store this morning, but just as it has happened in the last few weeks, there are no release notes available.

This means that, although so many apps have received updates, you can’t tell for sure what they actually bring. And yet, you are strongly recommended to install the new versions as soon as possible because bug fixes and performance improvements are very likely to be included.

Updated apps, no change logs

Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, PowerPoint Mobile, OneNote, 3D Builder, Windows Maps, and Microsoft Photos are all getting these enhancements right now, so just fire up the store, look in the Downloads and updates section and hit the “Update all” button to download them without waiting anymore.

This isn’t the first time some of these apps are getting updates, and the Office Mobile suite is one example, and this is living proof that Microsoft is continuously looking into ways to improve performance in Windows 10 and squash bugs as fast as possible.

The store itself has recently received an update, as many users have complained that, although Microsoft’s rolling out improvements for Windows 10 apps on a regular basis, many of these apps crash all of a sudden and sometime fail to load correctly.

Universal apps are indeed impacted by several performance issues in Windows 10, but Microsoft’s already working on addressing them all, which means that fixes will continue to arrive regularly. And yet, all these problems do nothing more than to create more frustration among users who moved to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and 8.1, both of which were said to be working much more smoothly than the new release.
