The Microsoft Garage team is back with yet another Android application that can be downloaded via Google Play Store. Dubbed Snap To Pin, the app has been initially launched in New Zealand to Android users.

Snap To Pin is supposed to make it easier for Android users to save articles for later reading, but it also allows users to send these articles to OneNote for editing, or share with friends.

According to developers, the new Snap To Pin application provides a new experience of saving an article in an Android application, which is one of the reasons the fine folks at Microsoft Garage have decided to release it in Google Play Store.

It appears that Snap To Pin can intelligently recover the corresponding Web address via a user-captured screenshot, while providing a clean reading experience for the saved articles at the same time.

It will take some testing before it is rolled out globally

Not much else is known about Microsoft Garage's new Snap To Pin application, but since it's only available in New Zealand, it means developers expect some feedback from users so they know where to head to with their new product.

You can now download Snap To Pin for Android for free via Google Play store. Keep in mind that the application is only available in New Zealand for the moment and supports all devices powered by Android 4.1 and up.

In the same piece of news, Snap To Pin is not the only new application launched by Microsoft Garage this week. The team also announced the immediate availability of two other projects: Snip and Keyboard for Excel.

“All are highly focused on improving core productivity tasks – such as number entry and saving articles for later reading – and making it easier for people to do things on the go,” claim developers in an official statement.
