Microsoft has recently released the second cumulative update for Windows 10, which includes improvements to the operating system functionality as well as patches for a number of vulnerabilities found in the latest 30 days.

Basically, since this is a cumulative update for Windows 10, it contains all the previously released fixes, so if you install this one, your computer should be up to date with the latest improvements released by Microsoft.

What's in the update?

As Redmond explains in the official log of the KB3081436 update, it includes several important patches for Windows 10 as well as a cumulative update that comes with security improvements to Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browser.

Below is a wrap-up of the updates that Microsoft has released today:

3086251 MS15-092: Vulnerabilities in the .NET Framework could allow elevation of privilege: August 11, 2015
3084525 MS15-091: Cumulative security update for Microsoft Edge: August 11, 2015
3082458 MS15-088: Unsafe command-line parameter passing could allow information disclosure: August 11, 2015
3082487 MS15-085: Vulnerability in Mount Manager could allow elevation of privilege: August 11, 2015
3078662 MS15-080: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft graphics component could allow remote code execution: August 11, 2015
3082442 MS15-079: Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer: August 11, 2015
Hopefully, this update will install fine for all users, as there were reports that the previous Windows 10 cumulative update failed to install on some PCs, and computers were pushed in an infinite reboot loop that's yet to be fixed.

Additionally, you can try this fix for the KB3081424 reboot loop of the Windows 10 Cumulative Update.

In case you were indeed experiencing such issues with the first update, installing this new one should fix everything, but only if it installs successfully. A reboot will be required to complete the install, so make sure you save your work when getting all updates released today.
