Microsoft Outlook app updated to version 1.3.5

Microsoft updated earlier its Microsoft Outlook app for iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) to version 1.3.5, a release that introduces initial support for the Apple Watch smartwatch.

According to Microsoft, there are three awesome new things that you can do straight from your wrist if you're an Apple Watch owner and you're using the Outlook app as your daily email client.

The number one feature that everyone will love, according to Microsoft, is the ability to quickly view your Outlook inbox and calendar events just by swiping up from the Apple Watch face.

The second best feature of the Microsoft Outlook for Apple Watch app is the ability to reply quickly directly from your Watch thanks to a collection of pre-written replies, which can also include voice dictation and emojis.

"Do you have a watch that lets you do way more than just check the time? Then we have something in store for you! Introducing our brand new Outlook App for Apple Watch," says Microsoft. "PS: Psst, don’t have an Apple Watch? Don’t worry, we have plenty of cool new features coming your way very soon."

Notifications, mail archive, schedule, and more

In addition to the features mentioned above, Microsoft Outlook app for Apple Watch is now capable of sending notifications for important emails, so you can immediately reply to them. Moreover, the new version adds archive messages, as well as support for scheduling events for later.

The Microsoft Outlook app for Apple Watch is available now in the App Store on iTunes, installable through your iPhone or iPad device. Please note that the app requires iOS 8.0 or later and it is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, but optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.
